Mr. Phil Perry

Formerly: Schools Director, Western Quebec Board, Quebec, Canada

Whilst he was principal of Pontiac High, Phil introduced the Alliance's approach to sustained school improvement in 2001.

As he would say, he spent a considerable amount of time decontextualising the English approach and recontextualising it so that it could be used effectively in Quebec.

Phil is a founder member of the Alliance and was a delegate at the Alliance's first international conference in Montreal, 2003.

He was heavily involved in supporting a number of the schools that have adopted the Alliance's approach in Western Quebec.

He retired from his position as Schools Director for the Western Quebec School Board in 2005.
