Mr. Mike Dubeau

Principle, Pontiac High School, Shawville, Western Quebec, Canada

Mike is a founder member of the Alliance. He was deputy to Phil Perry for one year, before he took over as Principle. This period coincided with the introduction of the Alliance's approach to school improvement at Pontiac High.

He has worked with his team to produce a distinctive and highly effective model of the Alliance's school improvement framework. The improvements in students' performances, staff empowerment and parents' satisfaction have been marked.

Accounts of his and his colleagues work have appeared in a number of journals and he has presented at a number of conferences.
He was a delegate at the first international conference of the Alliance held in Montreal, February, 2003.

He also plays a mean guitar.
